Block a User

Blocking a user means that you do not want to receive any notifications or invitations from that user. A blocked user can still see your profile information if it is set to public. >> More on Profile Privacy Settings

You can block a user from several places within Scholar:

  1. The user's Profile page - click "Block User" button on the top right of their profile
  2. User search results - from the results of any User Search, click the "Block User" button beside any of the people listed in the results

Once you have blocked a user, you will not receive any invitations or notifications from that particular user.

Unblock a User

If you have blocked a user - the buttons mentioned above become "Unblock User". Click on any one of those to unblock the user and allow invitations and notifications from that user to come through to you. Only invitations and notifications sent after you unblock the user will come through. You won't ever receive invitations and notifications the user might have sent while he was blocked.
